December 2022
Dear New Theological Seminary of the West Family,
Grace and peace to you in the name of the Christ-child, Jesus the Messiah, the one who came and lived and loved and served, all so that we could understand something about the nature of God. Blessings to you this Advent season!
I’m still basking a little in our Gathering in October, where we were finally able to worship together and celebrate those who earned Certificates, and also our Masters and Doctor of Ministry graduates. What a day that was! It was a reminder that our work is important—that we are here to serve those who are themselves called to serve in diverse churches and Christian organizations. It’s a mission we are honored to work to accomplish.
As we wrap up another year of innovation and service, we’re mindful that it’s also been a year of disruption and unrealized dreams. Through it all the NTSW team has been working hard to set a new course for our work in the coming year.
That’s why I’m writing to you today.
The New Seminary continues to develop new programs and ways to serve churches and church leaders. We still offer all of the traditional degrees that you would expect from us, but we’re taking our shared education and experience to help Christian communities work and lead and grow in creative ways. We believe that addressing specific skills and areas of competence is an important part of our future mission, and we’re just getting started.
In January we will offer our redesigned HR Toolkit for Church and Nonprofit Leaders. Most of us learned the essentials of human resources work in times of crisis—this seminar allows leaders to be prepared for this crucial area of organizational management. You can click HERE for more information.
I know this is a busy season and that you have multiple organizations asking you for support, so I’ll keep this part brief. We ask for your partnership as we continue to shape the work and reach of NTSW. Your gifts make it possible for us to ensure that the people we serve are ready for the complex demands of organizations and gathered communities.
Your gifts make our work possible.
You can give by clicking the link below, or by sending checks or making transfers to the New Theological Seminary of the West. Join me in supporting this work for the Kingdom!
Blessings to you and yours this Advent and Christmas season!
